WOLFGANG AMADEUS MOZART (1756-1791)
Due to Mozart's early death 1791 Beethoven's projected studies with Mozart had to be transferred to Haydn 1792.
But Mozart's work remains of great importance as model for Beethoven's early compositions, starting with his opus 1, which is significantly influenced by Mozart's piano quartett KV 493 from 1785.
Beethoven copied extensively from Mozart's work also in preparation for his own compositions, e.g in 1803/04 from Don Giovanni KV 527 with his new opera plans in mind.
