First English edition, falsely numbered op. 44, recte op. 43. - Joseph Alfred Novello was Mendelssohn's main publisher in England with a series "Edition of the Works of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy". Mendelssohn ended the cooperation 1841 when Novello provided a concert of the London Philharmonic Society with an early version of the Symphony-Cantata "Lobgesang, which Mendelssohn had not authorized.
* MWV O13. - Londoner Erstausgabe (mit irrtümlicher Opuszahl 44). - Joseph Alfred Novello war in den 1830er Jahren Mendelssohns englischer Hauptverleger und begann eine Reihe "Edition of the Works of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy", ehe Mendelssohn 1841 den Kontakt wegen Unstimmigkeiten über die nicht autorisierte Frühfassung der Symphonie-Kantate "Lobgesang" für ein Konzert der Londoner Philharmonic Society abbrach.
